What a weird Friday. Took some cool photos, edited some cool photos from the last two days, so not an absolutely weird day until I got back to the office and found out that I don't get an interview until Thursday morning. Friday is my last day, so I appreciate the expediency (*add much snark to this whole sentence) with the whole process as well as the person from HR who managed to lose my internally submitted application. How does that happen? Not only did I hand deliver hard copies, I even turned in electronic copies of my resume and internal application by email. Is the deleted items folder to hard to find? Whatever. I need a job and it would be nice to stay within the company. It even sounds pretty easy. I've never done phone sales but I've done sales and it's always been a cakewalk for me. Who knows though with the way things are going for other folks on the photo team who are looking to join sales. Anyhoo, enough random ranting from me. Have a cool still life.
So I'm bored and poking around on the internets and playing with firefox and I stumbled across this spiffy add on for firefox called ScribeFire that lets you edit your blog(s) directly from any firefox webpage. The editor is built right to firefox, so if you're like m and tend to do some copying and pasting regularly, you don't have to tab back and forth. I am amused.
So we've got these two pumpkins on our porch that we went and picked a week or two before All Saints Day and they've been sitting there ever since. Lily painted them if you're wondering about the crazy purple spots. Also, I think some of Canon's software/hardware developers/designers still ride the short bus. What's up with not keeping the .cr2 file extension the same from one camera to the next, thus negating my CS3 and making me use their crappy digital photo pro software unless I have find a bunch more cash sitting around to throw at them and either upgrade to CS4 or get my hands on LR2? Stupid Canon. If only they didn't make such nice cameras. Also, stupid Adobe for not supporting CS3 any more after less than 3 years on the shelf and because CS4 is soo much (and by soo much, I mean marginally) better.
Mother in law was here so I didn't get around to posting anything the last few days. I've got the photos. They're on flickr. I'll be posting 4 days worth of photos here soon.
