This was supposed to be an awesome day of going out the shooting range in the national forest, but when we got there it as closed for cleaning and maintenance and because there are a lot of dumb, in-bred, rednecks that go there and abuse the place and shoot the tables and signs and just participate in general asshattery. So we decided to drive over to Dolly Sods wilderness because there's supposed to be an awesome view with minimal hiking, albeit driving up a rather decent sized mountain on a craptastic dirt road, so there is some work involved, especially when you're driving a Chevy Cavalier. SO we got to the top of the mountain and there's a five mile drive along the top of a ridge to where we wanted to go. No big deal, we'll do it. Except that the gate across that road is locked. So much for that one. We did, however, find an old, semi-abandoned house that looked like a crack/flop house. It had been sheetrocked inside within the last couple years but the outside of it was crumbling away. Inside was full of random trash and torn up pillows and some stuff that looked like it had been used to smoke either meth or crack. I think that was the most interesting thing we found on our drive. Oh well. Today was a day of high adventure with pretty much no pay-of.
