Ah yes, one more day of hot weather. Last night night we had thunderstorms and wind gusts in the 50 mph range. Today we had pretty constant wind in the 20mph range with gusts into the 50 mph range every 3-5 minutes. Skiing was a bit "interesting" today. Here's what the "snow" on Dixie looked like this afternoon.

Another day in the 60's in mid Feb. I don't like it. But I did get Stinky Pinky put back together and all lubed up and ready for March or April.

I didn't work today. I spent waaaay too much time on this contraption today.

Oh, fiery fiend, how I've missed you these last few cold months. Lucky for us it's warm out for the rest of the week. Maybe I'll luck out and catch a few fish for ya on Tuesday.

Another day, another dollar not earned. Much Fallout 3 was played, so I'd call it a decent day off the mountain.

Another good day on the Mtn. Radio traffic made me think of what might happen if a bunch of retarded monkeys got drunk and starting playing with radios. Oh well. Good enough night for me.

February 5

Another beautiful day on the mountain. Nothing says 'good morning, sunshine" quite like standing outside, freezing your scrot off in 6 degree temperatures at 8am. I think we may have made it up to 16 though, so that felt good. Here's a shot of Marhsall and Willi.

February 4

A big fat meh of a day. The snow wasn't bad and there was still some untouched corduroy at noon when I got there. But then around 4 the light got flat and the temp dropped so I huddled inside for a long while with minimal runs taken after dinner.

My first morning on the mountain in a long time. It was gorgeous. Lots of gnarr was shredded.  There was much aching of the muscles by the time I got home.  Good times, good times.

A grand first Monday of being a bum.  I got up, took Lily to the sitter's and came back and took a two hour nap on the couch.  Then I got up, made a PB&J&B (The B is for Bacon) sammich, played some Xbox and then went for a rather muddy bike ride.  Did some grocery shopping and got home just in time to see the snow starting before I went inside.

Everything seems kind of wonky (in a good way) today.

Snowed off and on from about 5am. Rain started around 2.30, 3.00pm. Freezing rain followed shortly thereafter. Boo. Oh well, whatevs.

Monday night madness. Woot. Luckily, all the beaters seem to stay away from Dixie when it's in good shape. So I skied it all night.

January 25

I didn't do a lot today. Played the force unleashed for a couple hours while Lily napped. Then I played it again from the time she went to bed until midnight-ish. The control scheme is ok, but the camera is teh suck, as is the targeting system. There ya have it, the unofficial, two sentence video game review from Bill. As for todays picture, one of these I am not, but it was almost midnight and I needed to take a photo.

January 24

So I drove up to Murray's Fly Shop in Edinburg to check out some fly rod building info. Picked up a sweet little book so that hopefully by spring time I can have my own 4 weight rod built for about $100. On the way back I drove through the covered bridge at Meem's Bottom if you're headed south on Rte. 11 I think it's the first road on the right after you cross the bridge and head out of Mt. Jackson. There's a big row of Oak trees lining the road so it's pretty hard to miss. I couldn't get out of the car because I had Lily with me so I took the photo while I was rolling through the bridge at about 5-10mph.
